Sunsets in Dillon, Montana

During a recent fieldwork trip near Dillon, I cherish fond memories of sitting out on our host’s back deck and watching the sunsets in the evenings.

Dillon is a historic railroad and ranching town in western Montana with a population of about 4,000 people. My colleagues raved about the Patagonia outlet store and also mentioned the Beaverhead County Museum. Bannock State Park is about 30 minutes west of town. During our stay in Dillon, we ate at Sparky’s Garage and the Den Steakhouse.

All good things to look forward to the next time I’m in town.
